A training course on "Climate change and its impact on water resources" was jointly organized by the Institution of Engineers (India) Roorkee local centre, IIT Roorkee and National Institute of Hydrology at Roorkee during Nov. 29 - Dec 03, 2010. The course was primarily aimed to train the personnel engaged in water resources development and management in the country by providing the knowledge of managing climate change. The experts from National Institute of Hydrology and Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee delivered lectures along with case studies. This course was an appropriate technical activity for synergizing the principles with practices. The purpose of the course was to educate engineering and scientific fraternity regarding climate change and its impact on water resources.
